Áit have been assisting Fingal County Council in the preparation of Green Infrastructure and Open Space Strategies for a network of interconnected greenspaces as part of the Portmanrock South and Baldoyle Local Area Plans.

The plan areas are contiguous with Baldolye Estuary; a habitat of international importance for migratory birds. Central to the plan is striking a balance between the needs of the migratory birds, the recreational needs of the community, archaeological conservation and cost effective land management.

Innovative management measures proposed include extensive grazing, semi-commercial agriculture and native grassland restoration.
